Before starting your application, we strongly encourage you to contact the Tasmanian Community Fund.

We can discuss your project idea, help you determine whether it fits this grant round and clarify what information you will need to provide.

Community Action Grants support practical, community-led projects that respond to local needs and opportunities and help Tasmanian communities become more connected, resilient and thriving.

You can apply for between $5,000 and $50,000 for projects that are reasonably ready to deliver. Small grants are $5,000 to $15,000, and Standard grants are $15,001 to $50,000.

We ask the same main questions for Small and Standard grants. For Standard grants, we ask for more detail where needed and one extra response about important risks or approvals.

Keep your answers clear and practical. Short answers and dot points are welcome. Word limits are maximums, not targets. We assess your project—not your spelling, writing style or how professionally your application is presented.

Priorities for this round (Not Applicable)

For the 2026–27 round, priority will be given to projects that support:

Participation, belonging and connection.
Community leadership, volunteering and skills.
Local collaboration and community-led action.

Your project does not need to address all three priorities. Tell us about the community benefit in your project answers.

Funding request (Not Applicable)

How much funding are you requesting from the Tasmanian Community Fund? *

You can request between $5,000 and $50,000, excluding GST. Request only the amount reasonably needed to deliver your project. Enter the amount requested excluding GST, regardless of whether the organisation that will receive the grant is registered for GST. Where the grant is subject to GST, TCF will apply GST separately in accordance with the funding agreement. Applications requesting $5,000 to $15,000 will follow the Small grant process. Applications requesting $15,001 to $50,000 will follow the Standard grant process.

We have not incurred or committed to any costs that we are seeking TCF funding for, and understand that TCF will not fund costs incurred before a Grant Agreement is signed.
