The Tasmanian Community Fund (TCF) invites applications from not-for-profit community organisations for projects that strengthen the capacity, capability and confidence of Tasmanian communities — by removing barriers to learning for children and young people aged 8–19 and building community and leadership capability.
Funding Focus
Projects must align with one of the TCF’s two priority streams:

Connected and Educated Children and Young People – removing barriers that help 8–19-year-olds stay engaged with learning.

Capable and Well-Led Communities – increasing the capacity and capability of organisations and communities across Tasmania.
Funding Snapshot

Funding for projects up to a maximum of two years in duration.

Applicant must be a not for profit organisation.

Project must be delivered in Tasmania for the benefit of the Tasmanian community

Supports programs and initiatives, and that remove barriers to learning for young people, or focused on building community capacity and capability.

Requires a minimum 10% cash contribution (of the amount sought from TCF)

Collaborative projects between community organisations are strongly encouraged
Application Timeline
Applications open 8 am, 1 January 2026 and close 5 pm, 31 December 2026.
You can apply any time throughout the year.
Applications received by the 15th of January, March, May, July, September, or November will be assessed at the next TCF Board meeting (February, April, June, August, October, or December).
